I can't seem to get this out of my head, so I'll post it here: I had a dream 2 days before the 2024 solar eclipse, which I hadn't known was in 2 days. In this dream, I was standing in a field. not just any field, but a particular field from my childhood. It was bright and sunny, and there were a few clouds here and there, but still, the sky was clear. I stood upon a gravel road, and I looked to my left, and there was a structure which I had never before seen. It couldn't have been more than 4 feet wide, 6 feet tall, and 10 feet away long. The sky began to darken and grey, and as I looked up, the moon covered the sun, but it was different. The sun shone out from behind the moon, but it its light pierced through cracks that riddled the moon itself, turning the rays that passed through it into shimmering gradients of red, orange, and violet. I looked about me and saw someone, a black figure in military fatigues, walk past me, up the hill behind me. I never saw his face, though I thought it was one of my cousins. I turned agin to look at the sun again, but there was no sun. Only a moon with glowing blue cracks remained. I turned to the structure which still was there, and saw a door. I approached it and turned its handle. When I pushed the door open, I saw the interior was lit with wall mounted gas lanterns. The walls had a white and pink wallpaper, and the hallways zig-zagged in a way that one could still aways see around the corner, even if only slightly. I walked for some time and came upon an exit. As I left, I found myself in a foggy forest. I opened my eyes, where I awoke beside my wife in our bed.
